The Town of Granite Quarry Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM or soon thereafter in the Municipal Building located at 143 N. Salisbury Ave in downtown Granite Quarry.
The purpose for this hearing is to receive public comment concerning:
1) a general Unified Development Ordinance text amendment creating a new zoning classification designated “Downtown/Light Industrial”,
2) rezoning 12 properties in the downtown area as follows: 218 N Salisbury Ave; 221 N Lyerly St; 205, 211, 217 233, 301 Railroad St.; 105 Depot St.; 214, 312, 0 (tax id 648 185) S Salisbury Ave.; 303 S Main St., and
3) Zoning Map amendment adding an overlay to the downtown area showing where the previously adopted Appendix B of the Unified Development Ordinance titled “Building Design Guidelines and Requirements” applies.
