PINK RIBBON SALE!

Thank you for your support of Breast Cancer Awareness in Granite Quarry.  Last year, Downtown Salisbury, Inc. helped Novant Health Foundation Rowan Medical Center raise over $2,500 for the first 3D mammography scanner for our Breast Center on Julian Road.  28 days after instillation, the first breast cancer was found that would not have been detected with the traditional 2D mammography.  As part of our on-going effort to save and improve lives in Rowan County, Novant Health Foundation Rowan Medical Center needs your help.  The entire month of October, we want to paint Granite Quarry PINK!

We have created pink paper ribbons that you can purchase for $1.  Every dollar will go towards supporting Breast Health in our community.  The Novant Health’s Breast Health Fund exists so women do not have to go without breast health services or have long wait times because of lack of funding. Recipients of the breast health fund are typically low-income, uninsured, or under insured. The fund covers mammograms (2D or 3D), diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds. It also covers the cost of equipment purchases such as Novant Health’s new 3D mammography scanners and new mobile mammography coach. A patient has a 99.9% probability of being cancer free after 5 years if cancer is found early and treated appropriately.  Our hope is that you will purchase a ribbon at Town Hall that will be on display for the entire month of October! Each ribbon has a space where you can write your name or honor or memorialize someone…very similar to what you see at grocery stores for Children’s Miracle Network, etc.

If you are interested in purchasing a ribbon, please stop by Town Hall, Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. You can then personalize your ribbon and show your support. Thank you so much for stopping by.
