The Town of Granite Quarry is accepting applications for appointment by the Board of Aldermen to the Planning Board:

3 - Regular (1 is an Alternate Postion)
4 - ETJ (1 is an Alernate Position)
Those interested in service on the Planning Board have until Friday, May 31, 2019 by 12:00 P.M. Interested applicants can access the application online at www.granitequarrync.gov and may be filled out and emailed to Tanya Word at clerk@granitequarrync.gov. The forms may also be mailed to Town of Granite Quarry, Attention Town Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 351, Granite Quarry, NC 28072. Qualifications include residence within the Town of Granite Quarry and qualified electors of the Town. All appointees shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Aldermen.Planning Board – The Planning Board makes recommendations to the Board of Aldermen on land use planning issues, re-zonings, and issues Conditional Use Permits. The 11- member Board meets on the on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
The Board of Aldermen will make appointments at the July 8, 2019 meeting. Volunteers that are appointed will take their seats on August 1, 2019.
