Residents, The National Weather Service winter weather warning remains in effect. Residents are urged to remain off the streets unless for emergency purposes. As of 9:00am we have received about 2 inches of snow with the possibility of up to 6 inches by late evening. The NCDOT is working on our state maintained roads and Granite Quarry public works department is continuing to assess our town roads, sidewalks and town properties and will take actions needed to provide safety to the residents and motorists. Obviously, for weather reason limb pick up will be delayed throughout the winter weather event. We will keep you posted with any information as it becomes available.
